The first Vodafone Smart was, overall, a cheap, OK sort of phone with fairly good touch screen abilities.  But now the second version is out and there are no doubts that this version IS better.
The second Vodafone Smart!
The vodafone Smart 2 is £70.00, and so it fits into the cheaper smartphone end of the market.
The touch screen has no problems and is very easy to use.  Swiping left and right and up and down is just as good as any other phone in that price range, if not better.

We weren't too impressed with the camera and the video recording is very limited.

Now we come to gaming on the device.  Unlike the more powerful (and expensive) smart phones, the Vodafone smart has limited memory storage, however you can buy a memory card.  The phone runs Android 2.3 and has the google play store.    Games can be downloaded for free or payed for.  These include Angry birds, Doodle Jump, Cut the rope and many more famous, originally iPhone, games that can be played on the small £70 device.

Vodafone Smart 2 build quality
Back of the Vodafone Smart 2
The Device itself is quite small and stylish and is quite thick at 12mm.  This isn't really a problem, however as the phone is only £70.  Overall the phone is a nice build which feels steady without being too heavy.

As we mentioned earlier, the software in Android 2.3, also known as GingerBread.  It is a pity that it cant and probably wont be able to upgrade to later versions, but again, for a £70 phone it isn't really much of a problem.
Some of the bad points about this phone are:
  • Very poor battrery life
  • 640X480 video resolution and the video can be jerky.  Genearally its not good.
  • Only runs old android software (Two versions behind!)
  • no flash
Overall the phone isn't perfect but definitely isn't the worse phone ever.  It scores an Average 3/5.
The first vodafone Smart
The design HAS improved since the first phone, SHOWN ABOVE!

"The phone runs Android 2.3 but uses Google Play store instead of the android store. Google play has all the games like the android but this phone chooses to run it anyway"
Google play is the official Google app market.
It was just renamed (and restyled) from Market to Google Play.
